Le “HUSSY HICKS” hanno passato gli ultimi anni vivendo e suonando il loro stile unico di musica folk-funky davanti alle platee di tutto il mondo. Le due ragazze australiane, JULZ PARKER e LEESA GENTZ, si sono incontrate nel 2004 ed hanno trovato una perfetta alchimia musicale, frutto della combinazione di diversi stili, che permettono composizioni originali piene di talento e di fascino. Il loro punto di forza è costituito dalle performance live dove le loro canzoni,  impreziosite da una notevole tecnica esecutiva e da grandi capacità da performer diventano brani di musica contemporanea trascinanti ed emozionanti, dove si può liberare tutto la loro grande energia. 
Julz Parker è riconosciuta unanimemente come  la miglior chitarrista australiana, con un approccio molto “elettrico” alla chitarra acustica, mentre Leesa Gentz dà il suo apporto al sodalizio con la splendida voce e la capacità di suscitare profonde emozioni, pur suonando ottimamente la chitarra. Durante le esibizioni dal vivo spaziano dal gypsy-funk e folk-country al blues tradizionale, con armonie e ritmi intensi, producendo uno spettacolo di grande energia e di suono molto potente per due giovani ragazze australiane! 

Nelle estate 2011 durante il tour Italiano presenteranno il nuovo cd “A Million Different Truths”. 

The Hussy Hicks have spent the past years living and playing their brand of funky feel-good folk music all over the globe. The girls, Julz Parker and Leesa Gentz, met in late 2004 and found a musical chemistry that has taken them on a rollercoaster journey - performing on every continent, from the intimate coffeehouse circuit of the USA to major festivals including Glastonbury, UK; The Plateau Festival, NJ America and the Soave International Guitar Festival in Italy alongside artists such as Tommy Emmanuel, Keith Urban, Travis and Damien Rice.. The Hussy Hicks music is flavoured by a unique mix of influences and the girls present their songs in a very tongue in cheek yet beautifully musical way, each supporting the other in their distinctively different styles. 
Julz's eclectic approach to the acoustic guitar, rooted in the Emmanuel-esque tradition then inspired by Spanish streets, European gypsies and Arabic intricacies has been celebrated by guitar enthusiasts in all corners of the globe, Phil Emmanuel was recently quoted in Australian Guitar magazine saying that "Julz must be the country's (Australia) top female player". Leesa, although the best frog player in all the land, is most recognised for her soaring vocals and her ability to express her deepest emotions in every song. Together the girls have found a beautiful balance between raw emotion and an astonishing level of musicality. 
This world class combination are a must see for music lovers. Their set touches upon funk-gypsy through folk/country to high energy blues/roots and with their harmonies and intense rhythms they pump out a heck of a lot of sound for two small girls. 
They are currently in the process of completing their first album – a mostly live collection of quirky tales, social commentaries and comical narratives due for release and a comprehensive tour early next year.
