The purpose
L’ Armadillo Club APS is a cultural association whose purpose is to promote musical culture and organize high quality live musical performances.
Its many years of experience, combined with a strong musical preparation, allow the organization to propose artists of high calibre suitable for different needs and to provide musical education to young and old – drawing on artistic sources that go beyond the easy commercial proposals.
The Association carries works in cooperation with other cultural organizations in the sector, with the main Italian artistic agencies as well as the foreign ones, offering concerts of folk, blues, country, jazz, rock, ethnic, Italian and international music. It has built collaborations with musicians from all over the world, proving to be a valid interlocutor for relations of musical culture.
Cultural activities
- A very important part of our activity is aimed at young people in order to contribute to their cultural-musical formation in a correct way, both in teaching and listening.
- We actively collaborate with schools for the creation of instrument courses and musical events of high artistic quality. Through those, we aim to present to the students various genres of the worldwide music scene outside the commarcial side.
- In this context you can find our collaboration with the “Music Project of Val di Magra”. It is a multiannual ministerial project that allowed us to bring a series of concerts and meetings with lutherie masters and experts inside schools. We also offered guided visits at the International Acoustic Guitar Meeting and at the annexed Lutherie Exhibition that we organize every year.
- Since we started organizing festivals, musical reviews and concerts, our links with the Municipal Administrations of our Province and the fans who follow us have become stronger and stronger.
Here is a brief summary of the activities we held: Suoni dal Castello, at the Castle in Lerici – Tra Fiume e Mare, on the territory of the Magra estuary – Fermo Posta, Sarzana – Piazza De Andrè Workshop – Folk Music Meeting, Sarzana, Guitars in the Poets’ Gulf, Lerici – Live ‘n Brin, La Spezia – Live Music Circus, Lerici – Non solo cinema, concerts at the Cinema Manzoni, Pontremoli – Moderno Music Club at the Cinema Moderno, Sarzana – Women & Guitars, Portovenere – The Blues Joint, Sarzana – Inverno in Musica @ Sarzana – Sarzana Jazz&Blues – New Acoustic Music in concert at the Salone Margherita, Roma – Stefano Rosso Prize, Roma – Concerts in Don Gnocchi, Marina di Massa – Salento Guitar Festival, Lecce – Acoustic Guitar Village, Fiera di Milano 
- The Association was producer and organizer of the Acoustic Guitar Meeting, in Sarzana from 1998 to 2015, then transformed into Acoustic Guitar Village within Cremona Mondomusica, Fiera di Cremona, since 2016.

Short story
- It was born on 1991 in ” Armadillo Live Music Club “, Via Aurelia 68 – Fosdinovo (MS) and, after many years of concert activity inside the pub, since 1998 in organizes events, reviews and music festivals in minor theaters and open spaces.
- In 1999 the historical pub “Armadillo Club” closed his activities in Via Aurelia 68 and the Cultural Assosiation was born, with its headquarters in Via dei Molini 68 Sarzana (SP). Since then it keeps organizing musical activities in various locations in the province of La Spezia and beyond.
- In 2015 it was opened an auditorium, at the Polyvalent Cultural Center, former Vecchio Mercato, in Via Terzi in Sarzana. The auditorium took again the name “Armadillo Club” and is part of the ARCI circuit.
It is the venue for concerts, seminars, workshops, masterclasses, rehearsal rooms, and audio-video recordings.
Inside it it’s held the course of ScuolacusticA, specific in-depth lessons on the acoustic guitar.

In a room adjoining the auditorium you can find a lutherie laboratory for chord instruments, both acustic and electric.

- The cost of the annual registration is 10 euros. The validity period runs from January to December of each year.

The organization
Since December 2019 the Association has renewed and modified its statute for another 10 years, becoming and adding the acronym APS. It is now affiliated to the ARCI Liguria network and registered in the regional register of cultural associations APS.
